Products for the steel industry Limab Ab provides laser-based systems for the steel industries various applications. The new system called Limab Hot Profiler is developed for measuring long products. Limab Hot Profiler measures accurately profiles of the bars, pipes and wires also in hot conditions. For measuring slabs Limab AB has developed a system called Limab ProfiCast. The Proficast is an edge profile and width measurement system of slabs in the continous casting machine or before the reheating furnace in a hot srip mill. Limab AB’s PreciCura distance sensors can be applied in the various applications of the steel industry, also in hot conditions. These sensors can be used to measure profiles, control positioning etc.
